Chambers is Delighted to Announce that Mark Cornell Joins as Senior Clerk

We are delighted to announce that on Monday 15 November 2021, Mark Cornell joined Chambers as Senior Clerk. We are extremely fortunate to have secured a highly experienced clerk and Mark will help Guernica 37 develop and expand upon its successes of the past twelve months.

Mark will be responsible for the day to day running of Chambers, strategic planning, business development and client service. Mark will be mainly based at our central London office, but will be assisting Chambers in the development of its offices in The Hague, Madrid and San Francisco.

Mark brings more than 40 years of clerking experience to Chambers, including 24 years as Senior Clerk at a leading set of criminal chambers, and the last three years as Director of Business Development at a prominent set of chambers dealing with crime, international crime, and extradition.

He has been a qualified member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks for many years and has undertaken the Bar Council Public Access training course to assist clients wishing to instruct Counsel direct.

Mark is very interested in extradition law, international criminal law and private prosecutions. Recent collaborations that he has been involved in include the Crimeline Extradition Hub and the funding of public access cases through the Crowdjustice fundraising platform.

He loves to travel and in his spare time he is a keen triathlete and long distance swimmer.

Please join us all at Guernica 37 in extending our warm welcome to Mark as we approach this very exciting time in our development.
